Verdant landscapes and turquoise water. This part of the world surprised me. It screamed resilience. It screamed freedom. It screamed identity. 

Croatia-Montenegro-Bosnia & Herzgovina-Slovenia. Chequered flags, chequered histories. More culture than one can shake a stick at! 

The green, unsullied surrounding surprised me … that’s what happens when there aren’t many humans around. May it always remain so. May nature survive and blossom!

 

 

 

Expensive…. phew… too many North Europeans here. Prices are set for them and seem cheap to them, but to the rest of Europe, they are nothing good. 

Rude…. rather short. For a country that depends on tourism, one expects better. Not everyone has visited your country and not all brown people are trying to immigrate. Calm down.

Advice: 
Rocky beaches. Carry shoes for water. 
Sunscreen.
Too many cars, too few spots. And we only visited in June.
Cash only B&H. Pain. Closes at 10 too… and no empathy.
Slovenia castle a rip off. 32 + parking.
