Asked my team to come in costume. The externals didn’t. My entire internal team did… and what fab disguises too. Was soooo good to see my PM participate as well. 

In the middle of my call I got a message which read “Sheldon has run away”. Those four words changed all my work plans. I logged off and rushed in search of our lost puppy. I saw him, but then he wasn’t there and I didn’t know if it was my imagination. Amidst this chaos and then taking the other one to the vet and the world still revolving and work still going on, I realised work will always go on. But my little furry friends, my friends further along in the evolutionary cycle, my family… They deserve my time too. They deserve my energy too. More so than a corporate. 

Dressed as an angel for Halloween. Loved my wings and even when they weren’t spread, they looked amazing. It will be a hard costume to beat. Despite a great evening, my heart was not all there.

Before reaching home I drove to the place little Shelly went missing … He didn’t come to me when I called…. I wasn’t even sure he heard. Reached around 3:20 and it was time to get some rest before the search started. The cops have been informed, so if he’s found we would be alerted. There is not much more we can do right now.
