We keep the good things for a special day. Wait to open the champagne on a day we deign ‘special’. We keep the good perfume away, the beautiful china in cupboards.
My nan and mum did that too. They taught me that as well. For years I saved the best for that special day.
Thankfully I woke to the realisation that each day is special. Each day is worth a celebration.
