A wake up call.

I was getting ready for my morning coffee when the girl behind the counter referred to me as Señora. I guess she was being polite, but instead of settling back into my routine of news about mayhem and madness it got me thinking of how youth is cherished. And why.

Those thoughts combined with an overdose of Flower photography tutorials from Creative live got me seeking flowers past their prime. Got me looking for beauty in places I would skim by when I followed someone else’s standard of what’s beautiful.

It’s time to celebrate scars instead of rushing in search of the fountain of youth.
It’s time to smile and embrace the new evolved me.
It’s time to tell you – “You’re beautiful!”

Youth isn’t sacred and life isn’t wasted…

A Daisy past it's prime
